Question: How do I get rid of a slippery belt surface on our treadmill?
Question Description:
Just bought the Proform treadmill off of Ebay..for 99 cents because they didn't have a key. Anyway, it works great but my wonderful husband "cleaned it up" by wiping the belt with Armor All!!!!!! How can I scuff it up a bit, it's veyr slippery as you can imagine!!!

Answer#1: It you don't care what it looks like, and sandpaper isn't doing the trick, try roughing it up with a wire brush. It won't look too good, but at least you won't fall off.
Answer#2: take a piece of sand paper very lightly to the surface while its running
Answer#3: get a rag and run it under hot water.add a bit of soap and scrub down the belt.wipe clean and let dry.done.
Answer#4: try sanding it a little bit... should tear up and roughed the surface a bit.
Answer#5: Try sandpaper.
