Question: Bowflex Challenge? I need to lose 15-20 lbs..?
Question Description:
I would like to lose the weight that I have gained over the past 6 months..I really hate it! I've been working out at home for the past 2 weeks (using the Bowflex and NordicTrack) I never use to excersize so its hard for me to find motivation to do it 4-5 times a week.I want to know, has anyone used either of these things? How much did you lose? Any other tips are welcome. Also, I am not eating meat anymore (I hardly did any way) Im going to try all veggies and the occasional peice of salmon or tilapia (wild not farm raised) and for protien I LOVE PEANUTBUTTER..haha. So any one who has had success in losing like 15 lbs your feedback is wanted! THXWow..good answer, and no I dont drink, if I do its like a glass of wine when I'm feeling sick or with dinner(like once every few mos)
Answer#1: Peanut butter is really not that bad for you. And if you need some peanut butter in order to eat the celery--go for it. Especially if you are snacking on that to replace what you used to snack on between meals. My Jiff peanut butter has 190 calories per 2 tbsp which for me is about 4 celery stalks. But I'm getting the benefits of celery. And for getting your metabolism up and eatting something every 3 hours, that is a proper amount of calories to be adding. Often recommended protein bars have around 200 as well.I love my eliptical which is somewhat like a Nordic Track. My husband set up his big screen tv on the wall right across from the Nordic Track. I come home from work everyday and watch Dr Phil. Thats my thing--I love him. So I use the eliptical while watching it the whole time. When it's over thats about 1 hr cardio. The perfect amount of time--and the time that I would have been sitting in front of that tv anyway. So as far as budgeting my day--working out didn't have to be "budgeted" since that is Dr Phil time. That was how I manged to have the motivation to do it 4-5 times a week. When it was in the other room, not near a tv--I only used it during the commercial breaks. Not nearly as effective for cardio!!Another suggestion is put on your favorite cd and jam out. It is so energizing. My friends often read the newspaper while on the stairstepper. As far as fish (occasional salmon), there is nothing wrong wtih salmon. Just make sure you are eatting a well-balanced meal--but there is nothing bad for you about eatting fish. But on feedback--do you drink? Alcohol has tons of calories. Quit drinking alcohol for 4 weeks and it will help with 5-8 of those lbs. Also, if possible limit your caffeine intake. Soda has a lot of unnecessary calories.
