Question: what exercise\video can I do if i want to tone my legs, butt, and thighs I also want to gain weight?
Question Description:
5'2 125lbs size 3/4 sometimes 5/6 with thick thighs (which I love).I would like to weigh 140-145 lbs. I have a Weslo® Momentum 750 Elliptical I use 2-3x a week but notice Im loosing weight. I was 135 before I started. Should I cont. to use this machine if I want to tone but gain weight?
Answer#1: swimming with your jeans on will firm up all those areas, but with any exercise, you tend to lose a little weight. The best way to add weight is to add muscle because muscle weighs more than fatty tissue.
Answer#2: Swimming and bicycling are probably the best. Now since muscle weighs more than fat as you tone you should actually gain weight (this is what frustrates many people when they first start a weight loss program with exercise they forget that as they gain muscle they will gain a bit of weight before they start to lose.) Now as long as you have a good diet (well balanced) your weight should be fairly well proportioned to your frame. Be cautious about putting bulk on as many of the supplements out there despite there claim for safety, are loading your system with excess nutrients that can be hard on your liver and kidneys. The elliptical is great for toning and if you find you are losing excessive weight then your diet is not at a maintenance level. You need to add calories to maintain as you are burning more than you are consuming but do it the right way by adding protein and non-saturated fats and fruits to your diet and don't forget plenty of water as you may also be dehydrating your self.
Answer#3: hmm there r lots of exercises
