Question: Where should I buy an Elliptical?

Question Description:
I'm thinking of buying an elliptical. I don't want one over $250. I want one that is at a good price but can work really well. Where can I buy one like that? I'm looking for some stores.If you have used an elliptical and have lost a great amount of weight in a month or two please tell me which product you used and how much you lost.I'm thinking of buying the Momentum 745 Elliptical Trainer from Weslo. If you have used it tell me how it works.Thanks!!!!!!!I'm looking for stores I can actually GO to.I want a NEW Elliptical.If you have ussed one tell me how it works, how many pounds you have lost and what brand was it. Thanks

Answer#1: If you want to buy an elliptical, look for commercial grade ones. Do not go for the cheap ones they sell at Sears or Walmart, those do not have the perfect elliptical motion. Go for something used and not so expensive.I bought the Reebok Body Trec from craigslist.com and it is the best elliptical machine I have tried and I have tried a lot of them. Another good brand is Octane Fitness. Life Fitness is also a good commercial brand but most of their ellipticals are Rear Wheel drive so they give a kind of a Jump motion at the top. Go for a Front wheel drive which gives more of a natural forward motion (Reebok,Octane or Lifespan). Another advantage of using commercial brands is that they are heavy duty and last a lot longer.

Answer#3: Sears or any chain, get last year's model for cheaper. Or craigslist. Many people buy them, and don't use them. Getting one that wasn't used much is a good way to save some $$$. Hope that helps.

Answer#6: I would like to suggest that you should not buy cheap excercise equipment. You won't use it. It is best to look for something with all the bells and whistles, find out the price, then look in the paper, ebay, craigslist or somewhere else to find something substantial. Cheap stuff is hard and cumbersome to use.
