Question: which is the best treadmill?

Question Description:
ok im looking at two treadmills the horizon t71 at play it again sports for $549.00 then wal-mart has one the image 19.0R for $549.00 which is the best one for me & why? thx.

Answer#1: Neither of these units is very good. If you plan to do only walking, no running, on your treadmill then both might be okay. If you want to run on the treadmill, neither will hold up very well. Many Horizon models are decent machines, and there are plenty of people who like their Horizon treadmills. But the T71 is not one of them. It is not well-regarded at treadmilldoctor.com which is the most authoritative source for treadmill reviews I've found on the web. Here is their take:http://www.treadmilldoctorstore.com/Product-Reviews/Treadmill-Reviews/Horizon-T71The TM Doc review of the Image 19.0R isn't as bad as I expected:http://www.treadmilldoctorstore.com/Product-Reviews/Treadmill-Reviews/Image-19-0RThe T71 is used since it is at Play it Again Sports, and you need to be careful buying a used treadmill. On the 1 hand, it can be a great way to get a smoking hot deal. On the other hand, it can be a great way to get a money pit with tons of problems that aren't apparent to the naked eye. You definitely should try the machine out first and preferably have some documentation stating how the unit was reconditioned, before buying it.Why are you considering only these 2 models? There are other choices in the $500 range, particularly the model at Sam's Club, that are much better. The ProForm C525 supposedly is the best machine you can buy for $500 or less. It is $498 at Sam's Club.http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=343192&pCatg=4888Review here:http://www.treadmilldoctorstore.com/Product-Reviews/Treadmill-Reviews/Proform-C525I hope this helps. If you want to do more research, there are several treadmill review sites on the web, including:www.treadmilldoctor.comwww.treadmillsensei.comwww.treadmillreview.netwww.treadmill-ratings-reviews.comwww.mens-total-fitness.comwww.exerciseequipmentexpert.comwww.treadmilltips.comwww.consumersearch.com

Answer#2: A hill outside is the best for me, the stairs at the High School Stadium are great also. $0, fresh air, free also.

Answer#3: I have a horizon and love it! I don't know what model it is...but we got it at Sports Authority...I would go with the one at play it again...look at the features, though...and let that be the deciding factor. They are the same brand, so will be the same quality no matter where you get it.
