Question: Anyone recommend the best gym in scottsdale/tempe area?

Question Description:
We are moving there next week, and are looking for the best gym to join. We are not Lifetime Fitness people, it is too expensive, and has things we don't use or need (hot tubs, pools, saunas, etc. Just great weight equipment and lots of cardio machines needed. Any suggestions for a reasonable membership cost for a couple? We would probably buy a membership for a 6 month or year in advance. Thanks!P.S. We really like Hammer Strength, Nautilus, Body Master, and Flex equipment.

Answer#1: LA Fitness is where I go after researching many gyms. I found this to be the best one and the largest. Take a look at the one on Scottsdale Rd. and McDowell, this is right where Scottsdale ends and Tempe starts. They have a month to month commitment so you are not locked in to a contract. I pay $25 a month, but I believe they have family specials if both of you sign up, and it includes the use of the indoor pool, sauna, free classes, basketball, raquetball, etc.

Answer#2: 24 hour fitness is great. Also try pure fitness.:)

Answer#3: 24 Hour Fitness...I used to work there and I also used to go to the gym on a regular basis. Try it out. It's great!

Answer#4: some of the new LA Fitness locations are really nice...

Answer#5: Several choices as those are large areas. The one I used to work out at is 24 hour fitness. I liked them being open all the time and they have spinning classes, and many other classes. They also have a big pool and all kinds of extras. However, if you just want an in and out kind of thing, Pure fitness and bally's are a couple of choices as well. I wouldn't do Gold's as I think that place is pricey.

Answer#6: Pure fitness and 24 hour fitness

Answer#7: Try Golds Gym.
