Question: Treadmill Question?
Question Description:
I'm getting a treadmill tomorrow and I'm trying to lose a little bit of weight. Does anyone have any experiences of losing weight just like running or walking on the treadmill. I don't have any other exercise equipment, just a treadmill. So have any of you lost weight just by running ,and in how much time did it take you to lose this weight and how much did you lose? Thanks so much.
Answer#1: loose weight on a tredmill
Answer#2: When I walk on my treadmill, I use some hand weights to help in toning the upper body. I also up and down the elevation along with the speed. I also walk/run this works up a sweat and gets the heart rate up.
Answer#3: Yes, but if you are overweight, be cautious about running. It can be hard on your joints. In the past, I lost 50 lbs by walking(later running) 3 miles a day and going to the gym to do a 20 minute full workout with weight machines 3 times a week. I can't get ANY results from dieting unless I exercise, myself. A month of weight lost from dieting alone can be gained back from one careless meal.
Answer#4: Check out the online sites of some of the women's fitness magazines for treadmill workouts. Walking steady day after day is fine for some, but others need variety. Concentrate on having good form (not holding onto the grips) and be consistent with your workouts. You don't have to kill yourself each day to lose weight, but you do have to put forth real effort.
Answer#5: I think u can loose weight on a tredmill, u just have 2 drink 6cups of water a day. And eat healthy foods. My mom went to a gym a few years back and she used the tredmill and lost about 25pounds. But she also ate healthy and drank 6glasses of water aday. GOOD LUCK!!!!! :)
Answer#6: A few years ago, i was 40 pounds above weight.I walked for TWO hours five days a week. (I ate a lot of yougurt and the usual stuff I used to eat)Within 2.5 months, I had lost 40 pounds.40 pounds off, just like that! commit yourself to this "hard labor" for only 2.5 months and you'll be a princess.Good luck!
