Question: Are using those eliptical machines just as good as running?
Question Description:
I am trying to do more cardio with summer coming up and I have some belly fat to burn...I am reading a lot of suggestions about running. But I have very bad knees - is it just as effective to use thos eliptical machines (where you swing your arms back and forth and your legs kind of glide?...)
Answer#1: I believe so. My mom uses one and really enjoys it. She has asthma but can do the eliptical w/out getting too winded or worn out. She is dropping pant sizes like wildfire. She walks some of the time though, to be sure and get some time with nature in.
Answer#2: i've heard that they aren't as effective but jsut marginally. i also have bad knees and only use those, and i am see good resutls.
Answer#3: Hey again=)If you have bad knee problems like I do, you should go with the eliptical machine- I use the one w/o moving the arms..but it just depend on you what you like better.Yes, they are as effective as running...and for me it's just fun to work out on these machines=)CarolaPersonal TrainerISSA certfied
