Question: Is it true that using the eliptical trainer burns more calories than running on the treadmill?
Question Description:
Would I burn the same amount of calories using the eliptical trainer for 30 minutes and running on the treadmill for 30 minutes at 5.8-6.0 mph?
Answer#1: treadmill is good for cardio health while elliptical is better for burning fat. As far as burning calories, it's only an estimate and it's most accurate if you hold the sensors. The bottom line is the higher your heart rate, the more calories you will burn. No matter if it's on elliptical or treadmill.
Answer#2: i was wondering the same thing today, i noticed that i burntt a lil more o the t mill i think this is because on the eliptical u can really slow down wiht out knowing and if u dont keep pace on a treadmill u can fall off lol
Answer#3: Im not totally sure about that but the benefit of the eliptical is that it is no impact as opposed to running. So much better for your joints :)
