Question: My gym I go to I think I'm allergic to, home gym ideas??

Question Description:
I developed allergies this year they get worse when I go to the gym regularly, I think I'll need to get a home gym (its the only gym in town) What complicates things is I have a wonderfull and curious two year old and not a whole lot of space. Ideas?Of course money is an issue as well.

Answer#1: The best thing I suggest is a Band Flex Home Gym. It weighs less than 140 lbs, and is one of the smallest home gyms on the market. They also retail for an amazing $250 bucks which makes this home gym a bargain. You can also get up to 200 lbs. of resistance from it!The other gym I can reccomend is the Body Solid 1500s, its a little more expensive, and comes with a lifetime warranty. It retails for $550. Its sturdier than the Band Flex, but it will last a lot longer. I have detailed reviews of these products at my website: http://homegymsensei.comScincerely,Hikaru Watanabe The Home Gym Sensei

Answer#2: Do not make a high goal, first of all. It's a health risk to lose more than 3 pounds a week and can decrease your confidence. Besides, that much in a week would probably be water weight, which comes right back.Try taking a walk for 30 minutes a day, adding 10 minutes each week. Once you get up to an hour long walk, start biking or jogging for 20 minutes a day, adding on minutes once again. By the time you are biking or jogging for an hour a day, just keep at it and you'll keep losing.Best wishes!

Answer#3: Understanding, your 2 year old, space and money.Your best bet is a "Total gym" remake. It is called the "Weider Total Body Works 5000".Wall Mart has it for $100.It is compact, (folds against the wall), inexpensive and nothing dangerous for your 2 year old to get hurt by or damage. (It will fit in a closet)These machines are not that bad for a total body workout, just dont spend the $300 for the Chuck Norris one. Good Luck.

Answer#4: You should do pilates, plyometrics and strength training...also walk and run around your block for your cardio and some fresh air. Get some heavy ( not too heavy) iron weights and go to the fabulous site http://www.fheit.com for fabulous home workouts, eating tips, motivation and an inches and pounds lost tracker. Look for something called the Tabata method (called "No Gym? No Problem!) ...it is a four minute workout that WORKS!!(the male counterpart of that site is called "T-Nation" - the t is for testosterone...same great articles and format ~ best wishes and blessings to your busy toddler!!)http://www.f-heit.com/readTopic.do;jsessionid=F3FA3D998AD21BB4343B70543A551717.hydra?id=500592&pageNo=1#bottom
