Question: exercise bike questions!!?

Question Description:
i just got a exercise bike and ive started using it. i don't really want dramatic weight loss (like more than 2 kiklos), but i want to burn fat so i can tone my stoamch as it is QUITE flabby at the moment!!! how can i do this?and alsodoes this do anything - im thinking it does...? :ride it at a slow pace for 20 seconds, then ran flat out for 20 seconds, then slow it down for 20 seconds, sprint for 20 seconds, and repeat for 5 - 8 minutes? like hight intensity??thanks:Dbut note: i dont want to loose heaps of weight!!

Answer#1: second part first. Sounds Kinda Like High Intensity Interval Training.(H.I.I.T.) Run 400m All out Fast, followed By 400m slow repeated 4 -6 times per run twice a week(only an example, not an actual H.I.I.T. program) It is supposed to help you Run faster By Pushing faster than you would normally run(with breaks so you can catch your breath), Thus increasing your capacity to run Fast. and It is a Damn good Fatburner (How many fat AND fast runners do you see?) First Question now. ½ hour a day. More when you can. Use your Interval training as a Start, add On more slowly til you get to your ½ hour per day, Then keep going. Enjoy.Uncle Mike

Answer#2: yes- that is quite a good idea. you can alsoe try warming up for the first 5 minutes. then you can start pacing yourself in the next 5 mins. run flat out for the next 5 mins. then stand up while running fast for the next 5... then do your intervals as you please. good luck.dnt forget to stretch b4 and after- so that you'll wont be prone to accidents.

Answer#3: if you want your stomach toned to ab exercises. cardio will help you loose weight but not necesarraly tone the abs. as far as the changing of speeds it does help. your heart and body has to keep changing. it is better.

Answer#4: yes it does do anything like gives u muscles and burnt fat, i did that but it ended up like a tiring day!!!....?
