Question: yoga and strength training?
Question Description:
Hi, I have recently been in a yoga class and like it very much. I also wanted to get more muscle tone so I decided to strength train. Eat food with protein, calories, and carbs. I am about 5'11" and weigh around 150 pounds. So i am not overweight, and my question is:Is it a good idea to do both Yoga and Strength Training at the same time?strength training, meaning gaining muscle by doing weights
Answer#1: yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!! Yoga is a wonderful supplement to your strength training and will help you get in great shape. Yoga also has other benefits like flexibility and stress relief, so keep doing it! You are a smart man =0)
Answer#2: ashtanga yoga is strength trainingif you mean weights, it should be finefocusing on yoga first should give you a better idea of what muscles you want to strengthen
