Question: Tae bo diet plan?

Question Description:
Okay, I want to start a diet plan and i want to know if this is healthy and i would be able to lose 20 pounds. In the mornings run a mile after school do a 40 minute tae bo tape. Then jump rope and workout on a step machine for about 30-40. Then in the evenings run another mile. Also I'd be on a low calorie diet not nessesarily starving but 3 portion controlled meals a day with 2-3 snacks. Would this plan work? Is this healthy? How long would it take me to lose about 20 pounds? If you have any other contributions to my exersize routine please mention it. Thank You.

Answer#1: Ok, it's great that you want to get in shape and lose weight but I would be quite surprised if you got all the way through that exercise routine. That's pretty intense and you'll probably burn yourself out by day 2. Start off slow with an exercise routine. Cardio for 30 minutes 3 days a week is a must. Tae Bo is great. I like the Cardio DVD. You also need to have 2-3 days of weight training. The low cal diet is a good idea. Try to shoot for 5-6 small meals a day. Lots of veggies, fruits and lean protiens. Whole grain and fiber are good too. Try this website www.glamour.com/bbg. They have some tips you might like.

Answer#2: I personally used to do tae bo and it is the best workout you can get. I think what your doing is great...just don't overdue it. Its good to give yourself at least 1 days rest between strenuous exercise....like cut your tae bo every other day and do everything else...try and mix up the schedule a bit...or you'll get bored fast! Most of all good luck!
