Question: I got in an accident on Monday, would it hurt me if I did some exercise tonight?


Question Description:
Like step machine etc for 30-45mins? my upper back is little sore, but I can bend etc fine.xrays were fine, just a little pulled ligament in my neck and some muscle spasms she said i would experience.

Answer#1: Hey this is a GREAT excuse to veg out in front of the tv. Might as well take advantage of it. And yes, it's probably really a bad idea until you've had the ok from a doctor.


Answer#2: as long as you don't have any open wounds i think you will be fine. also if you have any stiches or staples ect. be very careful... it really hurts if you rip it open.... talk about painif not... then just be careful and only do as much as you can bear....


Answer#3: When your body is healing you are really better off to allow it time to do so. Taking a week off from exercise from time to time is a good practice to allow your body to recover fully. If you have been in an accident and you know that your back is slightly injured don't risk making a small problem bigger for no good reason. Take a break!I love exercising and train 3-4 days a week. But sometimes your body says let's take a break. Give it a rest. Don;t risk injury.


Answer#4: What did your doc say about this


Answer#5: I wouldn't.. after the force of being in an accident, your body needs to recover and heal. When I was in my accident, I didn't move around and do things like I normally did until a month after the accident. It was a bad one though... but still, your body needs time to get over the trauma. Give it at least a couple weeks.


Answer#6: As long as you've been cleared from having any back fractures you should be OK


Answer#7: Maybe just a little.Don't hurt yourself though.I just had some surgery on my legs and I still lift weights everyday.(Looks like I'm not the only one who likes pushing themself)


Answer#8: sure. just dont push urself and pay attention if anything starts to hurt
