Question: Is soy protein bad for me?
Question Description:
I recently read that I should get whey protein and that soy protein is not an acceptable substitute. Should I avoid soy protein? I am a vegetarian, so I do not get any of my protein from meat.
Answer#1: ISAGENIX. Whey protein. Great for weight loss and for body building. nomorelovehandles.isagenix.com has many success stories and videos. These products are endorsed by doctors, nutritionists, body builders as well as thousands of people just like me. Would love to be able to share more information as well as get you in contact with a health nutritionist to answer even more questions.
Answer#2: soy protein is not bad for you however it is a vegetable protein and thus it is classified as an incomplete source of protein (i.e. not enough to maintain your body's proper functioning). you can continue to eat it, it still benefits you in some ways but its not as beneficial as whey protein. whey protein is complete protein and can satisfy your body's need for protein better. it is better for muscle maintainence and growth as well. i would definitely get whey in you since you are a veggo...but don't completely kick out the soy protein either.
Answer#3: you can use either soy is more calorie dense, but not buy much. soy protein also regulated estrogen levels so you might find that useful. whey protein breaks down more rapidly
Answer#4: I have heard that soy protein could be problematic. Check out www.drmercola.com for more info.
