Question: How healthy is fermented or unfermented soy protein?
Question Description:
I'm just wondering whether fermented or unfermented soy protein is good for you? For example: soy supplements, soy shakes, or soy sauce.I've also heard much about soy's weight loss and menopause properties, any of it true? -Thanks in advance.
Answer#1: I haven't tried any soy protein powders or such, but I know for sure I get a great boost in energy and feel better throughout the day when I drink my daily soy shake from these guys I managed to find (source). I definitely plan on trying some of the other stuff they have once my month trial is over.Apparently, the protein really helps with weight loss since soy is full of low-fat protein (helps you feel full longer).-Good luck!
Answer#2: Japanese have the highest life expectancy of any culture in the world. They eat very little unfermented soy. Most of their intake of soy is the fermented type in things like soy sauce. They also supplement their diet with foods high in minerals that basically overwhelms the problems with soy that inhibits the absorption of minerals. Soy that is unfermented is very bad for you.The main reason most vegetarians struggle with anemia and get problems with degenerative diseases later in life is because of the large amounts of soy they eat. Soy inhibits over 50% of iron absorption as well as other minerals. It slows the thyroid down and in fact, even drug companies place a warning that people taking synthroid and other thyroid medications avoid all soy products because it neutralizes the effect of the synthroid medication.Soy is being put into many of American foods now because the soy industry has spent billions promoting it and our FDA and other health agencies have ignored the problems created by soy. Soy has a big afinity toward absorbing heavy metals. Aluminum is highly absorbed by soy plants and most soy products are very high in this dangerous heavy metal. When soy is fermented, much of the problematic issues with soy are greatly reduced, but it is so much better to avoid soy.The big marketing hype today is eat lots of soy and vegetable oil. Just ask yourself why 75% of all Americans die of heart disease and Eskimos that eat huge amounts of saturated fats do not have heart disease problems. Eskimos do not eat Canola, Soybeans, or any soy products.Soy milk is one of the most amazing marketing phenomenon I've seen in a long time. Imagine, soy milk is very bitter and brown when made, so they add lots of sugar and Titanium Dioxide to make it look white like milk. Titanium Dioxide is white paint. Look at an oil paint container and see what it's made of; right, Titanium Dioxide. Baby formulas that are made of soy are incredibly bad for babies. Giving a baby just one bottle of this stuff gives the baby the equivalent of 5 birth control pills! Why would anyone want to give babies white paint and birth control pills?Any of the good you hear about soy is far out shadowed by the bad. There is a very good read on the problems with soy in a book called "The Whole Soy Story." You can find it in some health food stores way in the back, hidden under some books stacked on top to keep it secret. Another good source for a good understanding of what soy is all about is at the following web site: www.medicinenon.it/Attack.docThe best protein drink is from whey protein. Unlike soy protein that is only about 60% absorbed at best, whey protein is absorbed about 95%+ because it is highly assimilated by the body. You need to make sure that the whey protein you purchase is produced at very low temperatures to preserve the delicate, health-promoting glycomacropeptides. This is what promotes immune support in the protein.Start looking around at all the foods that contain soy and you will be amazed at how many foods contain this garbage. Dominoes puts 30% soy in their pizza cheese to make it cheaper. Kraft foods uses huge amounts of this garbage in their foods. Look at what their mayonnaise is made of.To make matters worse, soybeans, canola, and cottonseed, and now corn products are being genetically engineered and the FDA is allowing them to NOT contain labels that tell you, the consumer, that you are eating a genetically engineered product. Monsanto Corporation has bought up most of the seed companies and is now suing most of the farmers in Canada and North America for patent infringement for having their genetically engineered products found in their fields blown in by winds that are contaminating all the crops. The head of the FDA is an ex-Monsanto executive. Surprise, surprise. The European Union Countries, Mexico, Japan, to name a few of the countries have banned the import of American genetically engineered foods. They have recognized the health problems that are being promoted by this garbage. Like many drugs, the FDA is allowing this garbage to be distributed freely in the U.S. and children as well as adults, are continuing to be the guinea pigs for the world. Amazing. I do not eat any soy products and avoid canola and cottonseed oils. Anything that says vegetable oils is most likely soybean or canola that has been genetically engineered and should be avoided like the plague.good luck to you
