Question: Best way to eat your soy protein powder?
Question Description:
So I got my big 'ol bucket a few days ago, and I'm really not enjoying the taste. The label suggests mixing 1 scoop with 4 oz of water. This just tastes like really really watered down rice/soy milk. So I mixed it with rice milk which has more of the same flavor, and it chunked up--badly. Maybe I'll try heating the milk first. What's the least "yucky" way to eat it?I'm aware that much of the powder isn't utilized, but I want a particularly high protein intake so I can build my upper body. Getting this purely from food as a vegetarian would mean that all of my meals have to be specifically high-protein, and that's very inconvenient. :(

Answer#9: Not at all. I hate to tell you this since you've already bought it, but that stuff is not very good for you. Most of the protein isn't utilized since it contains such a high concentration. You're better off getting your soy protein from soy milk, tofu, etc and not from a powder.
Answer#10: I too make a smootie, first I mix a small amount in a blender with some frozen strawberries and soya milk flavoured with the same fruit.I pour this into ice cube trays and freeze it, then in the morning for my breakfast, I add more fruit and a banana sometimes, 4-5 cubes, the flavoured soya milk, a bit of honey, wheat germ oil and a vitamin powder, buzz it and make it my morning meal supplement, any flavour can be used chocolate, vanilla or banana, even kiwi or raspbery, you can also subsitute a fruit juice for the soya milk in the blend in the morning.

Get a blender and Add a 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries, 1/2 of frozen cherries, 1 and 1/2 cup of lemonade. 1/2 of sherbet and then add the protein powder and mix until blended. I always add a little splenda to make it sweeter. If you like thinner smoothies add more lemonade or even substitute ginger ale.
