Question: My 16 yo son wants to take some sort of muscle builder to prepare for football.?
Question Description:
I know that it is common in this area but I am not keen on all this stuff. So I was hoping that someone might know a safe good product. He is 6'0 about 250 already and does have a little fat but not alot. He does do weight training 3 days a week. I am just unsure what is and is not safe.
Answer#1: Whey protein is a good supplement, You buy it in powder form and mix it with water or milk and drink it like a shake. You can get it at G.N.C. or you can get it at wal-mart for a more reasonable cost.
Answer#2: Get him to go speak to his doctor about whey protein and creatine and ask what theyre for and when to take them. He should steer clear of testosterone boosters for the moment.
Answer#3: the best muscle builder is food and vitamins. at his age he has twice the hormone levels of an adult. an adult would have to take steroids to get the results he will right now. make sure he takes advantage of that. the only "muscle builders" i would suggest is creatine, zma, vitamins and amino acids.
Answer#4: its ok to let him take the muscle builder but make sure he eats healthy (like a bagel with low choest. butter with eggs for breakfast.) and tell him hes doing a good job at training a couple times a week . hope i helped
Answer#5: Do NOT let him take anything. First off, it can lead to other things, second, I know someone who took creatine and didn't exercise to build his muscles, stopped taking it and ended up not losing the weight.
Answer#6: vitamin c or any multivitamin in a fancy bottle, he'll get about the same muscle results, you don't have to worry, and he'll be better equipped to fight off the common cold..lol
Answer#7: no
Answer#8: I would recommend taking protein powder over anything else.Either that or just tell your son to eat a lot of meat in order to get in protein.Protein is the building block of muscle. It helps your muscles to recover and grow stronger. That is why a diet high in protein will be most suitable for his particular goals.
Answer#9: There is no use for supplements. Natural building of the body is better. You don't want anybody to end up like those wrestlers who killed themselves. Just have him eat right and exercise, but let him rest not TOO much exercise.
Answer#10: No, don't let him do that. He's too young for that.Just make sure he eats a balanced diet with lots of natural protein in it and he'll bulk up a bit.
