Question: bodybuilding?

Question Description:
i have been lifting wieghts for about 6 months now and i dont really see too much of a change and i do all my reps and everything correctly the only thing i have seen change in is my chest and my shoulders but i was on wieght gainer from gnc for about 1 month and they stopped taking cuz had no effect on me and i eat protien everyday and i get a good sleep can someone help me out

Answer#1: Look, it takes a LOOOOONG time to bulk up and put on real mass. I started weightlifting seven years ago, and I had 15 inch biceps. I could barely bench press 65 pounds without shaking. As I type, I have 19 inch biceps and I can bench press 295 for reps. And that's after seven YEARS (with time off for deployments, injuries, laziness, etc.) The best advice that I can give you is to keep doing what you're doing, but every so often, test your limits. Try curling a 60 pound dumbbell...deadlift 405. Can't get it off the ground? No problem...your body is now aware of what you expect from it.If you don't leave the gym every day panting with sweat pouring off of your back, then you DIDN'T TRY HARD ENOUGH. I don't care how much you can lift, just make sure that you're trying HARD on each set.Eat 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight, 2 grams of carbs per pound of B.W., split over 5 meals (2 of which should be a high-quality protein drink); rest 48-72 hours before you work the same bodypart again, get 8 hours of sleep a night, drink 128 oz. (1 gal) of water a day, read all that you can from fitness mags and books and ACTUALLY DO WHAT THEY SAY...and DO NOT STOP. It will happen for you, keep at it.

Answer#2: Try studying your food and workout habits. Try to be consistent in your habits and see what is happening or not happening.Good Luck...

Answer#3: i got the same problem, but people tell me a gotta eat more, like around 5000 calories a day. I only get like 2500. so im trying to eat more. That should work for u too.
