Questions & Answers about Bowflex
Question #1: bowflex effective?
are bowflex products really that great? i dont
know how it could change your body in a short time
with only 20 mins. every other day and that is
without the help of supplement i suppose. lol
sounds funny but i would like to know if that
could ever happen.i would like to know if in fact
it does work how great is the difference it made
in you and after how long was it achieved.
Answer: A "short time" is subjective. Any
exercise is good for you and will make a
difference as far as your fitness and muscle tone.
I don't think it necessarily has to be Bowflex,
but I've got friends that swear by it. And that
guy on the commercial's been 40 years old since I
was like six, so man that must be some good stuff.
*lmao*

Question #4: ))BOWFLEX people(( A gym vs. the BOWFLEX??
I'm 5,5 and weight 165lbs on a 15% around body fat
I want to gain 10lbs more of muscle & drop to
at least 8% body fat can I bowflex do the trick
B/C my new job is gonna keep away from the gym
more often, & I don't want to lose the little
I have already gain, people have told me that all
you get from a BOWFLEX is a good cardio sculpting
workout and I'm not at that point yet I still want
to add more mass.***P.S. motivitaion is not a
problem 4 me, time is***
Answer: Bowflex is a good home gym machine. I have had
one for a couple of years. It will let you do
more exercises than you can do with any other
single piece of equipment. If you workout with
the same intensity as with weights, you should get
similar results. There are some downsides,
depending on your point of view. It does not have
the same motion qualities as weight machines. The
resistance is not linear. The company claims that
"progressive resistance" is better but I
think that is because that is all their equipment
can do. The numbers on the Bowflex bands do not
equal pounds of resistance. Bigger numbers is
more resistance but that is the only
correlation. The resistance of even their top units
is not adequate for some exercises like deadlifts,
leg presses, or squats. I do not believe it can
be set up for full squats. All equipment has
pluses and minuses and all will only benefit you
to the extent you use it.

Question #5: bowflex is it worth it?
I been thinking of buying a bowflex. Is it worth
the money. Can you really get as strong as what
they say. If you have one let me know what you
think.
Answer: no i do not own one. but i have asked around and
i have been told by many people that it is not
worth it. you can get strong, sorta yes. but it
will probably not get the results you want. i
recommend free weights if you are looking to get
strong. even the people in the commericals dont
use the bowflex completly, i have been told they
use free weights, which is recommended by almost
everyone...hope that helps

Question #6: will the bowflex make me muscular? i definitely dont want that?
i mean, i understand female bodies dont get as
muscular as men's do, but the women in the bowflex
commercial have muscles? does this happen with the
bowflex, or is it that these women exercise into
oblivion?
Answer: In general women may get muscular, but you wont
bulk up the way men do. You'll just get firmer
mucles, maybe some of that crazy defeniton, or
maybe not. It depends alot on your diet, regemine,
and your body type too, everyone is different.

Question #7: Would Working out on a Bowflex make me bigger and heavier instead of skinnier?
I weigh 230 pounds, I'm not all fat, I got some
muscle. Me and my father were talking about
getting a Bowflex. My question is would working
out on all Bowflex make me skinnier? One of my
friends told that if someone that weighed 250
pounds and was mostly fat, began lifting weights
would burn the fat and turn it into muscle, but
you would still weigh about the same but with less
fat. So if worked out on a Bowflex for six weeks
and lets suppose, lose 25lbs, would I look
skinnier or the same bigness but just more muscle?
Answer: You would slim down but you would also get muscle
bulk. But it would look good. It just depends. If
you want best results try losing weight before you
do bowflex.

Answer: Honestly, you don't want a bowflex. They limit
your range of motion, and completely disregard
many muscle groups. If I were you, I would invest
the same money in free weights and a quality bench
press with leg attachments.

Question #10: Bowflex +/- experience?
I'm thinking of buying a Bowflex Blaze - your
thoughts?Does it resonably replicate cybex
equipment like at the various stations in a gym?
Also how easy is it to change configuration
between exercises?
Answer: While the "Bowflex" looks great on the
commercials, keep in mind that the guy or girl did
not get that body just by using the it. They are
professional models and have been working on their
bodies for years. I believe that if you already
have a fit body then this will definitely keep you
in shape and even make you stronger. Also keep in
mind that many people will buy these machines with
excitement and high hopes of looking great in no
time. Just to come to the realization what they
bought was a very expensive space waster. If you
are determined and committed to using the machine
then go ahead and buy it.This way you will get
your money and your "Body's" worth. If
not I'd recommend joining a gym with a personal
trainer to get you started.I would definitely buy
a "Bowflex" If I had the room for it.
Good
Luck.... ;)
