Question #1: Weider 8530 Home gym weights?
I was recently give this home gym but the weights
are not labeled. Anyone know how I can find out
how much they are each worth?
Answer: I'm not familiar with these machines. You could
take the plates off and measure each one. Likely
the small plates are 10 lbs and work from there
up. remember it's not what your lifting that's
important it's lifting what is right for you for
increasing your strength..

Question #2: How do I put together a dp home gym?
got a dp home gym for free and have to put it
together. I can't find it online. dp fit for life
111575000-000067. I'ts been unstrung so I reaand
the cable box is unhooked. Can anyone help me
figure out how to put it together and sting the
cables so it will work? It's a huge home gym with
an abdominal crunch and lat pull on one end and a
pulley system on the other end that must do
several things. I've looked on yahoo and google
under everything I could think of and have found
nothing. I need to order a manual to put this
thing back together and don't know where to look.
Please answer this if you can help me.
Answer: I looked too, nothing.my advice is start from
mounting point, where the plates or whatever is
used for tension is. work the cable through the in
line pulleys. Usually the go on an easy path, and
see what you come out with. If it seems to long or
too short try a different cable of a different
length or a different pulley alignment. One by one
it should be together soon enough. If you still
need help, you should be able to get an
instruction book from a distributor or from the
company itself.

Question #4: What is the best home gym?
My fiance and I are looking for a total home gym
for our house. He wants to focus more on arms,
pecs, and abs and I like to focus more on gluts
and legs. So we basically need an all-inclusive
sort of machine. We just bought an elliptical
machine as this is my favorite type of workout,
but we enjoy lifting as well, so this is what
we're looking for now.We would probably spend
between $1,500 and $2,500 but that's just an
estimate, so don't make money the main basis for
your answer. We could spend more or less
depending on what we like best. Our highest
priorities are high quality materials that won't
break after we use the machine a few times, and
something that allows for very natural movements
and range of motion. We have plenty of room, but
the only potential problem might be the height of
our ceilings, which I think is about 7 feet.
Answer: dumbells bench press and a good protein drink

Question #7: Need some thoughts on home work out tools , specifically the total gym?
Im a martial artist and I need to focus on
strengthening specific body parts that I dont work
out enough in my normal training (mainly the
hamstring and some of the upper body). I dont like
typical home gyms as they feel kinda clunky , the
seats get uncomfortable when lifting heavy
weights, and they are annoying to switch weights.
Now I have seen allot about the total gym and it
looks pretty good for what I want. However I would
like some opinions on it , and maybe other
alternative home gyms.Actually that is one of my
issues, I have a little fat mixed in with my
muscle Im looking to loose, will dumbbells help
with this as well?
Answer: well, the total gym is OK but, free weights are
much better for you. i know they are clunky but
they work out many parts at one time where as
total gym only specifies on one particular area.
then you have to fold it another way and focus on
another area. its much easier just to get a set of
dunbells, lie down on a chest or bed or anything
and do some of your workouts like that. also, i
know alot of martial artists are extremely strong
for their size and most are not very heavy at all.
what im getting at is that the total gym works off
of your body weight. thus if you are very strong
and only weigh 150 lbs, you arent getting too much
of a workout. however with dunbells you can get
the weight that is perfect for you.....just my
opinion. hope this helps.

Question #8: Home Gym help?
i decided to get a home gym to join my treadmill
(that i never use) in my spare room. I figured
instead of joining a gym and paying the montly
fees, i would rather have a gym in my house to
work out whenever and it sounds like a cheaper
option. i find it hard to find a home gym that
will work out the abs area...i found one at sears

about these products? will they get the job done?
and also, are they reliable? i'm looking to spend
around 400-500$ or slightly more if it's really
worth it, any suggestions?
Answer: While a home gym might be less expensive, I find
that joining a gym will increase your confidence
as you get comfortable having people around you as
you work out. Just what I think.Plus there are
trainers and people that can help spot you.
Certain exercises can be dangerous if performed
with poor technique when by yourself.
