Questions & Answers about Whey Protein
Question #31: Whey protein screws my face over.. (acne)?
I use to work out all the time. Take the whey
protein. I had acne and at the time didn't seem to
care.Anyhow, I got off the whey protein and went
on with my life. I had no acne during this
time.Just 3 days ago I began to get into building
my body again. I started taking the whey.As soon
as I did my face broke out. It's not that bad, but
it's damn annoying.Has anyone else had this
problem with whey protein?I just find this very
frustrating because I like having clear skin and I
like to workout to make gains. It seems that I
can't do both. I feel like I only have these
choices.1) I can have clear skin and just workout
without taking the whey which serves little
purpose since I am trying to make gains.2) I can
have messed skin and make gains while taking
whey. When I am on whey I make gains so quick, but
get messed over on my face. When I am not on it I
don't make gains at all. This is so frustrating.
Anyone else have this issue?Haha well that could
be it then... considering I bought it for 11.00$
US Dollars...If this "cheap protein" is
the issue how do you think it causes acne? What
type of protein do you use and recommend?lol how
much water you want me to drink? I am well at 1
and 1/2 gallons a day already...
Answer: I take whey protein daily, and so does my brother
and we don't have any acne, well a few blemishes
here and there, but nothing out of the
ordinary.You should talk to your
dermatologist.Where did you get the whey protein
product? if it's the cheap stuff, then that might
be the reason.

Question #33: whey Protein?
I am 5t 9" and I weigh 158 lbs. I started to
work out 2 months ago and my goal is not to get
bulky but to get somewhat an atheletic build. Do i
need to take whey protein or any supplement to
help my progress?
Answer: It would help, yes. Most whey proteins available
today contain many vitamins, minerals and aminos
along with a fat free form of protein. A good
powder supplement will also have no sugar in it.If
you're not aiming to build a lot of muscle, you
won't need a lot of protein powder as if you were
a bodybuilder or powerlifter. An active person,
especially someone involved in sports, would
benifit from a good whey protein supplement.Keep
in mind that supplements are just that. They
aren't intended as meal replacements so be sure
you're getting a healthy diet with whole foods.

Question #34: whey protein??
do you gain weight from whey protein? i make a
smoothie in the mornings when i can't eat. 1
scoop of whey protein powder, some fat free
organic plain yogurt, forzen fruit and my diet ice
tea. blend and drink.i can't lose weight?i work
out at least 3-4 nights a week and i don't eat
fried greasy foods. hardly any if not at all fast
food. salads, grilled chicken, tuna fish lean
meats. i'd like to lose about 8-10 pounds by
june. i originaly lost 40 lbs. 2 years ago and
since have gained back about 8 for no reason. how
do i shed these 8 pounds?jeremy, what do you
think?blackfly you're awesom!what is good to eat
during the day? what are good carbs and
proteins?i have egg beaters with veggies on
mornings with no shake. salad for lunch. dinner,
whatever i cook. snacks are yogurt, kasji cereal,
fruit-apples and peanut butter or carrots with
peanut butter. i'm sick of this. what else is
good?
Answer: You can gain weight from any food. Weight gain is
a function of calories. If you consume more
calories than you burn, you will gain weight. It
doesn't matter if those calories come from ice
cream, carrots, potato chips, chicken breast, or
whey protein. So the answer is that your whey
protein shake is fine if your overall calories for
the day are fine. If you find you are gaining
weight and don't want to, you'll want to do a
combination of reducing the calories you eat
throughout the day as well as increase the amount
of activity you perform to burn more
calories.Jeremy

Question #35: whey protein?
Does it work....or is it a waste of money
Answer: It's good to supplement but not if your not
working out hard.. Look up the protein
requirements for your age, weight etc. Spread out
your meals 5-6 meals. .and you can probably have a
protein shake in the am. and in the evening. If
you start putting on body fat, cut back and
supplement once a day on the protein. I have
it,but don't always use it. I prefer to get my
protein from chicken, fish, lentils, beans.

Question #39: Whey Protein?
If I take it 3 times a day..and do some curls will
I bulk up
Answer: If you just do curls, you probably already have
enough protein in your diet for the little bit of
weight training you do. Now if you plan to do a
full weight training program, that is a different
story.
