Questions & Answers about Muscle Builder

Question #1: For Muscle Builders, I think Protein shakes and all these Supplements?
are a waste of time, if not then explain how all these guys in jail go in scrawny little punks then come out HUGE, and well defined. They don't get to eat 5 meals a day, nor do they get special proteing shakes, or bars or any of that, and they come out RIPPED!

Answer: Do you have any idea how slow that process is? It probably took them at least three years to actually gain muscle. With the help of supplements, the process becomes faster than ever. Some people gain 10 pounds of muscles in 3 months time.

Question #2: Could someone in a wheelchair benefit from taking Creatine(muscle builder) ??
I am in a wheelchair, from a spinal cord injury. I couldn't feel much in the beginning, and know 10 months later I can walk with assistance. However, most of the day I am wheelchair bound, with the exception of my physical therapy. Could it hurt me in anyway to take muscle builder?

Answer: Yes, it could...it has been associated with undesireable cardiac effects. Creatine will not help you build muscle because your loss of muscle tone is related to your spinal cord injury. Creatine does not affect the central nervous system. It would be analogous to trying to fix the television set when the problem is that there is no electricity going to the house. ...but it's good to hear you are making such a great recovery...keep it up!

What are the best? Links please!

Answer: www.discussbodybuilding.com is your best source for this question. The biceps are a very small muscle and are often overworked and, hence, do not grow as they should. Chin ups are a good exercise for biceps and well as the bent over row...and cheat curls...that's about it.

I have a high metobolism and so I can't really gain much fat. I really want to gain some muscle, but don't you need fat to burn into muscle? I just wanna get muscles, but not like muscle builders, just fit. Basicly how can i build muscles the easy way, i was planning on going to the gym and hiring a personal trainer, but i cant afford. So if any1 can give some advice or refer me to a website i would greatly appreciate. thx in advance.

Answer:
http://www.freetrainers.com/i use this site and i love it. someone on here recommended it to me and i recommend it to a lot of people. you have to create an account but it's free, and it helps you customize a workout based on your current fitness level, what equipment you have to workout with(free weights, gym equip, nothing,) and what goal you're trying to achieve(weight loss, building muscle etc.) it lets you track your daily progress by entering how many of their suggested sets/reps you did and how much weight you used. don't go over their suggestions though because they're designed to push you. you can also set up a nutritional profile based on your goal and that lets you track what you eat the same way the fitness profile tracks workouts. and it gives you a list of foods from each food group to help you out. it's a really great site.
