Question #14: Can you lift weights to get stronger but not bulk up?
I am currently on a low calorie diet, and I do
weight training 4x a week. I wanted to know if it
is possible to get stronger, even though I am
consuming much fewer calories than the big muscle
builders you see at the gym
Answer: How low calorie ? and what is your weight and size
etc... and if your lifting weights limit it to no
more then 4 times a week at the most. And even
though you might be taking in less calories then
the next man in the gym you still might be taking
in alot of protein so i would say cut your protein
intake in half maybe if you just wanna get
stronger but not get massive. Yet again i am not
sure if this is possible but i did my best. Good
luck

Question #15: My 16 yo son wants to take some sort of muscle builder to prepare for football.?
I know that it is common in this area but I am not
keen on all this stuff. So I was hoping that
someone might know a safe good product. He is 6'0
about 250 already and does have a little fat but
not alot. He does do weight training 3 days a
week. I am just unsure what is and is not safe.
Answer: No, don't let him do that. He's too young for
that.Just make sure he eats a balanced diet with
lots of natural protein in it and he'll bulk up a
bit.

Question #18: About the "Curves for Women" Program of Working Out...?
Does anyone know anything about Curves workout
centers and if those machines really make a
difference? They aren't "free weight"
based, but hydrolic, and work with your own body's
weight resistance. How hard you can
"push" and "pull" the bars on
the various machines is the muscle builder, I
suppose... do these work? Do they take longer
than free weights? And can you work out daily
with these machines as opposed to only being able
to work out every OTHER day with free weights?
Anyone know?
Answer: I go to Curves. Hydraulic machines are better
than weights because the machine will offer as
much resistence as you can tolerate and then do
the same for me.

Question #19: NO XPODE by BSN is more like a Fat Burner than a Muscle Builder?
I just did a 6 week cycle and what this NO product
did for me was making me leaner and give me a rush
of energy before working out. I think it is more a
fat burner cause of the caffeine it has, but they
announce this as a muscle builder, what do you
think?
Answer: Caffeine is a weak stimulant, so its not really a
fat burner. Its not a muscle builder either, it
has creatine in it so it might make your muscles
look fuller because it causes water retention in
the muscles but its temporary, it will go away
once you stop taking it.
