Question #42: Bodybuilding?
If my muscles are in pain the day after doing a
workout, does that mean I over did it, or does it
mean I did a proper workout ?
Answer: "No Pain - No Gain"DOMS (Delayed Onset
Muscle Soreness) is very common to experience the
day after a proper workout. Don't worry about it,
just don't try to excercise that muscle group
again until the soreness goes away. (Rotate your
workout routine.)Among other things, make sure you
are drinking plenty of water. When you exercise
you cause tiny injuries to your muscle tissue. But
not to worry, those little injuries are what cause
muscle growth, the body repairs the injuries using
protein and water. The other thing to do is make
sure you stretch the muscle group that you are
working out that day, both before and after the
workout, and then again the next morning when you
get up. Stretch just to the point where the muscle
starts hurting and hold that stretch for 30 to 60
seconds. Just as taking a deep breath gets air
into your lungs, stretching helps get water into
the muscle tissue.Drinking a simple carb source
right after you workout will also help decrease
the soreness. If you are taking a creatine mix
right after your workout, then that has the right
amount of carbs.Vitamin C is also helpful in
counteracting DOMS. Aspirin can help release
Vitamin C, but shouldn't be taken at the same
time. So take the aspirin before your workout and
the Vitamin C right after the workout.

weghts while doing this and increase them as you
go along. That is, if you want to spend time doing
it, and I don't highly recommend spending a lot of

Question #47: Bodybuilding science?
I believe that everybody wants to be knowlegable
about bodybuilding will be frustrated because of
so many contradicting methods and approaches about
training and diet. I need to know if there is
any certified source which researches bodybuilding
as a science, not as viewpoints?
Answer: To be honest I don't know if there are any
certified sources. I think the only thing you can
really do is read up on the subject like crazy.
After doing that set up some goals and start using
different principles by trial and error. Start
with one and stick with it for 8 weeks or so then
try a different routine. Document what works for
you and what doesn't. Since everyone is different
you won't be following the exact same workout
routine/diet as your buddy. It's getting to know
what works for you and it may take some time. You
can start with a general workout routine/diet and
slowly modify it to tailor your needs. Subscribe
to some bodybuilding mags ( they usually have a
samples of workout routine/diets). Continue
reading them so that they give you new ideas on
what may work for you. I can understand why it may
seem that there are so many contradicting methods
but these are just a reflection of the many
different ways that different people have been
successful at reaching their goals. Not every one
has the same physical chemistry and just as
everyone is unique your routine will be too.

weights, i started slow, with little weight, now i
can lift a little bit more but i'ts been a while
since i've been at this level, and a dont see any
change, i've change my routine a couple of times
but it feels the same what can i do better??
Answer: To put on muscle, you want to use heavier weights
with lower reps... 5-8 reps in each set. Also
make sure you eat enough protein... each day at
least 0.8 g per lb of body weight. That is alot
of protein and takes some work to accomplish.Aloha

Question #50: Bodybuilding?
bodybuilding is about sex(N.A.K.E.D) or it is
about developing muscles because some of them
deposed N.U.D.E?
Answer: I'm not sure you used the word Deposed in the
right context. However, to answer your question
bodybuilding is on the same level of any other
material possession used to gain status over
others; to make one feel achievement when
compaired to their peers. It's just like the guy
who buys a vet or wears DNKY. You get noticed and
you enjoy the feelings that accompany it. There is
also the feeling of being HIGH from releasing
endorphins, which can be addicting.
